stress relief

<s>To the self-centered Chuunin I met today: Make another stupid comment about my appearance in any way, shape, or form, and I will tear off your nails one by one and then we'll see who has short, un-feminine nails.</s>

If anyone needs me, I'll be training.

Funny how the moon has a cold stare

I never appreciate just how cold it can get at night until I have to endure it. No matter how many times I work at night out here, I will never get used to it. I love home, but the temperature change is brutal.

At least it's not raining.

Cleanup is going well. The man in charge of the group I've been working with isn't exactly the leader type, so I've taken it upon myself to unofficially lead these men. No one is complaining (out loud, at least). Though, I'm sure they have issues with the whole thing, though. With me being the only female on site, that is, and running things anyway. To this I say: get over it, men. If they haven't already, they will. I guarantee it.

<s>As much as it pains me to say it,</s> I appreciate you helping out, Hyuuga.

001

The first thing anyone notices about a place is the smell. Obviously because it is the first sense to be hit, especially when the smell is so strong. I could smell it from a good distance.

It's not just death a smell, either. I think some of you have forgotten to take care of yourselves in the aftermath. Believe me, with two brothers, I know, okay? Soak it up a little. And eat something. I swear, most everyone I've seen has lost an unhealthy amount of weight in such a short time. It's not so hard to tell, either. I don't even know everyone, obviously, but it's plain to see.

It's not the end of the world.

[private]

The atmosphere is here is way too depressing. Even I am affected a bit. It's no wonder these people haven't eaten. It's enough to make anyone lose their appetite. I wouldn't be surprised if even Akimichi has lost some weight.

As bad as it was in Suna when Akatsuki attacked, this is worse. The devastation is far more widespread and I can't see the people of Konoha with their soft hearts to recover very quickly. But if I've learned anything, it's that Konoha nin are full of surprises. Maybe they'll surprise me this time.

For their sake, I hope so.

[/private]
